Twenty20 is more for entertainment, even if it is international cricket – Younis khan
Mr. Younis Khan! you missed the point totally, it’s only entertainment if you are putting up a serious fight. There are millions of people all around the globe taking it seriously. But no-one is forcing, you don’t like, step down and give someone a chance who takes it seriously.
I would further add, A captain as non serious and un-inspirational as him is a disgrace to Pakistan cricket. Shameful how he can be smiling the way he does after losing matches. Usually the khans are courageous fighters, but this man has no pride at all, he is more of a joker than a cricketer. And he has no brains at all, Umar Gul took a wicket first over and Younis replaced him. Had he taken another one or 2 in the next overs the match would have been over for England. Amir could be good but how on earth would you put Amir or Yasir Arafat (another pathetic bowler) in place of Tanvir, beyond my comprehension.
Than this Butt thing, he could be a test player (which I doubt), stupid batsman and pathetic fielder for T20 and even for the ODIs.
In fact the truth is, it’s all messed up, the PCB today is the worst of all. Mr. Chairman has nothing but to build up fights. I know nothing about the cricket. Abdul Qadir resigned today, showing clearly the state of affairs within PCB and ultimately Pakistan Cricket.
But as Pakistan, we still pray for Pakistani Team, come on guys, we do need a win badly but fighting spirit is much more important.

Pakistan – Australia 4th ODI Lost – 5th ODI Live Stream will be on 3rd May 1500 Local Time - 1100 GMT
Bad news for Pakistan
Australia won the series. This wasn’t an easy win for them, but at the end, the came out better. Pakistan needs to think a lot. Especially their batting needs a lot of improvement. If I am an opponent, this side (batting) is not going make me worried. There are good players but no-one like Inzi, or Yousaf, they are okay. And non serious at times.
They have to their game up. And before I forget, I don’t see a reason why we are persisting with Kamaran Akmal (other than some strong PERCHEE). He is an average keeper and even a less batsman, remember couple of odd innings don’t make you a great player. It’s the consistency that counts the most.

Wow! I have no idea, how they did it, but does it really matter? Thing is, Pakistan have won their first ODI against Australia. And it’s important to note that this was only a second win in their last 12 ODIs (over nearly seven years) against them.
Many were predicting before the series that spin would play the key role, but no one could have imagined this far; Australia losing 8 for 27. And above all it was Afridi, who did the damage. Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal gone through their defenses brutally, leaving them clueless. The damage caused by Shahid Afridi’s career-best 6 for 38 had all but forced Australia out of the match before even the halfway stage of their innings. Recently Aussies showed a power performance against the spins of South Africa and the nightmare continues in Dubai. Clark is defending it’s side but the truth is, playing spin is their weakest area in recent times.
Having said all the above, Australia is still a better team and they’ll not let Pakistan go with the series easily. I am sure, we’ll see more aggressive Aussies in the coming matches.
At the end, for Pakistan: Well done and be cautious “boys” ….

India maintaining its initial stand and still pressurizing Pakistan, as India’s Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that if Pakistan doesn’t deal with those responsible, India was prepared to “take all measures necessary as we deem fit to deal with the situation.”
No matter who was responsible for the last month’s deadly attacks in Mumbai, someone in India, someone in Pakistan or it’s yet again another international mystery, but it does prove one thing emotions play a vital role (in India & Pakistan) even for matters like these.
It wasn’t long when we were playing “Dosti” series of cricket, exchanging cultural activities, doing “peace talks” etc etc and now where are we? On the borders with armed forces of both countries exercising, warming up and ready for combat. Man! this is not as simple as it looks, someone wants us to fight, someone wants to put us off track or may be politicians (especially on Indian side) playing a blame game for the upcoming elections?
Or may be this was another administrative failure on Indian part, and Pakistan’s shoulder seems the weakest one these days?
Whatever it was, one thing I do know, war is never the answer and we both will suffer tremendously…

India, Mumbai Attacks, Pakistan, Terrorism
The times for Pakistan are not good at all, it’s a pressure cooker situation:
- India blamed “elements in Pakistan” for being behind the 60-hour siege that ended on November 28, dragging two nuclear-armed South Asian rivals to the very edge.
- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice saying “Well, I think there’s no doubt that Pakistani territory was used by probably non-state actors,” and “I don’t think that there is compelling evidence of involvement of Pakistani officials. But I do think that Pakistan has a responsibility to act, and it doesn’t matter that they’re non-state actors.”
- In spite of winters coming down fast in north, Taliban and their allies are still acting vigorously, attacking people and govt. assets.
- In the 2007-2008 fiscal year, Pakistan observed a significant decrease of 37.2% in its overall foreign investment. Foreign public portfolio investment declined by around 97% to $16.8 million against $653.4 million recorded in corresponding period of the last fiscal.
- Thousands of billions of dollars of foreign loan to pay.
It’s a never ending list, question is what’s the solution???? Is there any?
